Bar 9 has been banging about the dubstep scene for a number of years, making pretty dirty tunes. There are two members of Bar 9, Ollie and Martin. Based in Leicester but from Cambridge and Bristol.

But his recent releases and remix’s have caught my eye. Some of his tune’s are so brutal it’s hard to believe. I had a listen to his mix on Mary Anne Hobbs’ show on Radio One the other week and it was beyond believe. Here is the track listing :

1 ) Bar 9 – 1983
An absolute club banger, tricks you in to believing it’s going to be mellow, then drop’s like a mother fucker. I’m hoping he releases this one SOON!
2 ) Bar 9 – Piano Tune
If I ever hear him drop this, people will literally be rolling around on the floor swallowing they’re own tongues, absolutely lethal.
3 ) Paul Harris – I Want U (Bar 9 Remix)
Dropped for the first time on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show a few weeks back. This is a radio rip i’m afraid, but still a banger.
4 ) Kyza – Go (Bar 9 Remix)
Grime + dubstep = Crazy. Works so well. I have this on promo and I dropped it at my last set and everyone went crazy for it.
5 ) Tom Piper & Nic Corelli – inDisco (Bar 9 Remix)
Also have this little bad boy on promo. One of the top download’s on Beatport at the moment, and no wonder.
6 ) Bar 9 – Shaolin Style (Nero Remix)
Nero on the remix of this one, big tune. One of the first tunes that got me loving up dubstep.
